MAME-What are you playing?
« on: October 31, 2015, 13:17:34 PM »
Strider

Been playing this all morning. Never beat it back in the day and decided (for some odd reason) that today it was necessary. But it's a lot harder than I remember.. Just getting past the moving blocks at the end of level 2 was a nightmare.
I have Pugsy's cheats installed and hesitated using them early on but infinite lives became a must pretty quick.
Blows me away that that much skill or dexterity can be lost (I used to be good :113:

I haven't played anything in MAME in a while.  Strider does look like an awesome game, though.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

Awesome! I used to love Paperboy. Last time I played it was on real hardware in 1986 while living in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Best year ever 8)
Haven't played Robocop in ages. Another great one to add to the list.

Played Mystic Warriors for a while today. LOVING the game!
Can't get Alien vs Predator to work in Ubuntu (or this version of MAME) and that's a real downer but there's plenty of others to fill the void. 8)

Playing Rastan after being reminded of it in another thread. LOVE this game. :P On the 2nd stage I had my character running up and down the pile of tires annihilating everyone. Awesome games!
Had a little trouble getting Caliber Fifty going. Think I need to map some more keys for direction. From what I saw, this should be a good go-to game for the list :113:

That's Brandon Lee from "The Crow" Trek, but yes he wouldn't be out of place in the Splatter house series :)

Thanks Greyfox! Will check these out asap.
Ninja Gaiden on NES was the worst game in my personal history as the 'knock back' when getting hit made me so mad back in the day.  :113:)
