What's your fav retro game?
« on: November 27, 2014, 02:11:54 AM »
Hey, evertone, how about we talk about our fav retro games here?
I love playing retro games very very much.
My fav is Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda. And i play them on my android emulator JXD S7800B, and it's so well emulated. Lol
What's yours?

One of mine is Ms. Pac-Man, which I own in pretty much all the systems I have:  Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Lynx, NES, Genesis, and Dreamcast.  :)

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

My goodness, this is THE million dollar question!

Its really tough to choose any particular favourite over another and the answer can change on a daily basis.
I think top of the list would be either Doom or Revenge of Shinobi for me.

But what about Speedball II, Shinobi, Galaxian, Crazy Taxi, SWOS, Raiden, Juno First, Prince of Persia....Aaarrrrgh  :35:

Yeah that's a tough question, but for me it always comes down to 3 games.

Shadowrun, Castlevania SOTN, and I have to agree with Joe and say Doom. Too hard to pick a number one out of them though!

Don't even have to think - Run Baby Run.

Head and shoulders above any other game.

2nd and 3rd go to Mario 64 and New Super Mario Bros U, although I'm not 100% sure on the order.

Quite a few to be honest, cannot just pick one. Lemmings, Jet Strike, Colonization and Sonic The Hedgehog. I still play most of them every so often.

I have Road Rash 2 and 3 for the Genesis/Mega Drive. Quackshot is my tops 16-bit game but the Road Rash series comes next.

It was released on the PSP, title name EA Replay. It contains Electronic Arts games from the SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive including all three Road Rash games.

Personally i have to go for Links Awakening on the Game Boy

Its so hard to just pick one, but this was the first game that really drew me in. Since i first got the game at launch i must have spent months and months of hours playing it.

Its still one I pick up every few months and finish. Everything was perfect, the story, the music (even though it is just beeps).

For what it was on the system it was on, it was perfect for me.

Although it borders on being retro or not, for me it still has to be Xenogears.  I keep going back to that game over and over, and even though it's flawed and never realized its full potential, it's my favorite game in my favorite genre (RPG).

I don't think I've got a real favorite but our tops as of right now would include  Mario Cart, Phantasy Star IV, Blaster Master, Breath of Fire, Chrono Trigger, Mega Man, Yoshis Island, Starfox, and  Majoras Mask.

There are too many to list at once. I have many favorites across multiple systems and genres. I think the games I end up revisiting the most are The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII. However, for a good year or two straight, I've been playing Super Smash Bros. (N64) at least once a week with my cousins. That ought to count for something. ;)
