Best Emulators for PC

Ok all, i need a list of the best Emulator..

What i would like to do is not only have this information for my use as i have just reinstalled my PC and i may as well install what you all reccommend and also i would like to do a feature on Emulation.. Maybe even have a dedicated page for it.

Well my favourite listing for some of the best would be

Atari ST : Steem or Saint
Atari Falcon : Hatari
Atari 8bit/5200 : Atari800 win Plus,  old but still the best
c64: CCS64 (commercial) or Vice64
Cpc: Winape
Spectrum :Speculator(commercial) or ZXplus or specX (again commercial)
Amiga :Winuae 2.4.0 (ultimate Amiga emulation) or win fellow
Snes: Zsnes or Snes9x both are superb
PC Engine : magic Engine (commercial) or XPCE
Megadrive: fusion (does them all ) / Gens / gens32
gameboy : VisualBoy Advance (does them all )
arcade : MAME / Raine / nebula / FinalBurn / Zinc
NES : jnes / nestopia / FCEUX
Gamecube : Dolphin
N64: Project64 / 1964
Ps1: ePSXe
Sega Saturn: satourne
Sega Dreamcast : chanksat


This is all I can remember of hand so far, I will add more as soon as my memory makes a come back :)

Atari VCS/2600 - Stella, Z26
ZX Spectrum - ZXSpin, ZX32
NGPC - NeoPop
NeoGeo - Neo-RAGEx

And if you must

Jaguar: Jagulator or Virtual Jaguar

But Jag emulation is crappy at best

also forgot to mention in my post..for a good few of these emulators, you will require bios files, kickstart.rom files, or tos rom files in order for them to work affectively for you, for the sega stuff at least about 5 sega bios files to cather for all the different machine types.

I wouldn't recommend WinFellow .... it's not been updated for years and doesn't emulate some of the Amiga's more advanced graphics features, not to mention it doesn't do AGA, so A1200/A4000/CD32 emulation is out of the question.

Oh yeah..win fellow is long out of date, it's just there as an alternative , but anyone in the know, knows WinUAE is the daddy.

Don't forget to add some for the adventure game fans out there.  Namely the following :-

SCUMMVM For LucasArts and Revolution Software point and click games.  It can do a few others as well.

Frotz For Z-Machine adventures(e.g. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Leather Goddesses of Phobos, etc.)

You really don't want to use Satourne for Saturn emulation. I used SSF, and that's all I've ever really needed.
