Game Suggestions
« on: February 12, 2014, 02:58:10 AM »
As you know, I like to complete games. However, on some systems it's difficult to find games that I can finish and actually have an ending. I'm aiming to complete at least one game on every system I own this year.

I'm looking for games on the:

Atari XE/XL
Atari ST
Atari 2600
BBC Micro
C64
ZX Spectrum

Also if you have any good recommendations for the CDi, 3DO and Saturn as well as I'm just not that familiar with the library of these systems.

On the Atari 2600, check out Pitfall II.  It is a good game and it definitely has an ending.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

I don't complete many games so am not a bit expert on endings!

All depends on what kind of games you want to play too.

Trek mentioned Pitfall 2, play the XL/XE version if you play one as that has an extra level and improved graphics and sound.

Most genres really. Just not anything turn-based. Or text-adventures  :P

For the 3DO I would recommend Crash & Burn if you haven't played it. It's a combat racing game that's really a lot of fun and it has a story mode that does have an ending.
Star Control II is another one. It's a really big game and if you don't do things in the correct order or within a certain amount of time you will lose and the game will end, but it you do everything right there is an ending.

Here are some suggestions, not sure if they all have endings but they should do considering they are big games.

Atari XL/XE: Star Raiders 2, Xenophobe, Yogi Bear & Friends In The Greed Monster, Airball, Crownland.
Sega Saturn: A.M.O.K, Loaded, Mass Destruction, Crime Wave, Black Dawn.
Philips CD-i: Steel Machine, Secret Mission, Inca, Kether, Dimo's Quest.
Atari ST: Elvira - The Arcade Game, Warlock's Quest, Time Bandit, To Be On Top, Yolanda.
