It's been a long time since I posted a new Battle Of The Bands poll so I thought we were well overdue for a new one.

With big thanks you Vyothric we take a look at Mutant Forest, composed by the great Chris Huelsbeck, on 5 different formats!

Wow!  ???

Really hard choice too as every version was very solid. I put the DOS version in last because the bass and percussion are a bit muffled and scratchy. Then comes the SNES version which sounds a little subdued for my liking. In third place is the Atari ST, really impressive use of 3 channels there in every way. Second I am going to go with the Amiga, I was really torn here as both the Amiga and MD were just so good. But the MD takes it for me because the bass and percussion are just so good here.

It's almost impossible to make this track sound crap.

The SNES version is probably my least favourite. I think they overdid the vibrato.
PC version...the main tune sounds good, but the bass isn't nearly as good as the others.
I quite like the more old school-ness of the ST version.

...and both the Mega Drive and Amiga versions are pretty much perfect.

I'd have to pick the Amiga though.

I'm going with the MD.  It is, well, music to my ears!  And that is one fantastic tune!

Going to the final frontier, gaming...
