One of my favourites will always be Pipemania, I would have loved to have seen this on the Lynx and would kill for  the Wii update but I don't think it ever came out over here  :20:

I always thought The Incredible Machine was pretty awesome, since I've been playing it since my first computer. This one's one of my favorites, personally, although there's a ton more out there. Basically, you're given a puzzle, and a bunch of parts you place around the screen to try to solve it in the most convolouted, Rube Goldberg-ian way you can.

The Incredible Toon Machine

There's a spiritual successor out on Steam called Contraption Maker, too, that'll be pretty awesome once it gets out of alpha.

Looks like lots of fun, and very mousetrap-ish in nature. So many fun games in the PC DOS days.

Might I suggest picking up the Incredible Machine Collection, currently on sale for half off? Sadly, it doesn't come with the game I just linked, but that one isn't too tough to find from... other sources.

The Incredible Machine 2 (TIM 2) Walkthrough - Part 3 : Medium puzzles

Here's Incredible Machine 2. It's not in the collection, but Incredible Machine 3 is basically just the Windows version of 2. It also comes with Contraptions, which is basically a remake of this.

I have downloaded this now and played it quite a bit, ideally suited to touch screens and mobiles especially. It doesn't really play that much like Pipemania though so I am still waiting for a proper version on Android!

I am a big fan of Dr. Mario too, one of the few Mario games I actually like  :21:

But rather than post the NES or Game Boy version I am going with the brilliant Atari 8-bit homebrew:
