Retro Chat / Re: Game soundtracks

The topic made me go through my old Mini Discs to check some of the other game music I may of loved, I wasn't disappointed :) Most of these are from Amiga though lol

Lotus Turbo Challenge series, Lemmings 1/2, Pinball Dreams, Sonic the Hedgehog 1/2, Virtual Tennis, Duck Tales, Chip & Dale. Plus I loved the intros to Blood Money, Elite Frontier, Gods, Cannon Fodder and that Formula One game on the Amiga that used Fletwood Mac song ... that got me so pumped up.

Sure theres tons more but all this just reminds me that game soundtracks just aren't what they use to be lol

Yea don't let a review get you down :(

Going by all the facts you told me, I'm more educated in certain points folk have mentioned. I'm clueless about the book making progress and still shocked how much money is needed to do such a process.

The book is a labour of love and its gonna sting a little when someone attacks that but keep your head up because as I always say the folk who complain will always be heard over the folk who are happy.

As someone said before, I can't believe that printing books is still funny money, thought it be cheaper these days. And I'll check that PM out :)

I was tempted to pledge for Putty Squad but the power of the Lemmings hooked me lol. It would of been something special to get a brand new Amiga game all boxed up :D

Yep that was the first thing I did. I did hope for a twitter but didn't see anything. I'm awful for checking my emails lol.

Oh my! I can't believe this is the first time I heard of this. I've been away for too long. I love Gremlin! They published some amazing title, Zool, Super Cars, Lotus Turbo Challenge, Toyota Celica and Brutal Sports Football.

Really can't wait to see this. God damn it just adds to the list of books I need! Ocean, Sensible and now this XD

I've got this on my wishlist to buy. I stupidity brought a Dji phantom and now skint but cannot wait to get my hands on the book.

I'll have to spread the news when I get the book and hopefully drum up support :) Amiga fans have been spoiled in the last couple years.

What a fantastic read :)

Any backers here get there copy? Whats the opinion on it?

I got mine but it lacked the reward I went for :)

The book for me is fantastic. I actually had a wee tear running down my cheek reading through it and seeing all the games i use to play. I still play the Amiga but some games I just forgot about over the years or haven't got to with such little time I can spend on the Amiga. I always said the Amiga were some of the happier times playing games and I still think that.

Yea I kinda knew the screenshots size was down to real estate with the size of the book. I should really get myself the PDF to check it out but I spent all my pennies on a silly quad so I'm on super noodles for the month lol.

The price for me wasn't to much of a downer I agree with what you say that with tax and making the book that you wouldn't of made any money if you did it cheaper. I again should of mentioned that in the review lol. I'm always so nervous writing as I think I covered everything but then when I get feedback I'm like damn!

Kickstarter is such a hit or miss, especially if you don't get staff picked. I've heard from other folk who done projects that you can beg to get featured bit if it happens to late then your Kickstarter just gets buried and forgotten about.

I did post my picture of the book on the Amiga FB group I'm on and they were some interest. I'll link the review again and see if that will interest more folk. I really enjoyed the read and just couldn't believe how much ports of the game there was. Back when I played the DOS version of the game I never even thought why 2 player wasn't supported untill you mentioned it in the book. It really made me laugh

I really enjoyed AoU. Yea I can see some of the plot holes and why folk maybe got annoyed at it but for me it was just brilliant and it left me wanting more.

The only thing that really pretty much annoyed me is the end of credits scene!

Love DBZ but I hate to say it but I can't watch subs these days. I just don't have the attention span so I'm hoping for a decent dub to arrive soon after lol.

The news of the new series is great though, I'll be interested to see how it goes. I haven't watched the latest new movies which I heard are canon? May need to pick them up.
